Manga review: Bokuraha Minna Kawaisou (We all are members of Kawai apartment house)
The general outline of this story
This is a story mainly about how Usa, a hero of this story, and Ritu, a heroine get along with with each other and drawn by Ms. Ruri Miyahara.
Usa is a supremely generous person and cares about even strange people, and as a result, he was always in trouble in his junior high school followed by those whom he helped or was kind to. So when he became high school student, he decided to stay clear of such people expecting to lead a 'normal' life. However, Kawaisou, where he moved to, was filled with strange residents; Mayumi, a beautiful but violent and having no luck with men; Ayaka, so cute with her cosmetics but a little (or serious) devil of a girl; Shiro, a masochistic man. The owner of there is Ms. Sumiko, who is very kind and charming old woman, and Ritu ,so cute but a bookworm , is a niece grandson of her and is also a resident of there.

Caution! The sentences below contain some spoilers about the story though it is not serious one (at least for me) !
Why I LOVE this
1. I love to see one and an woman gradually become friends and finally become a pair of lovers.
In other words, I'm not good at the story like so many girls fall in love with one man and struggle with each other to get the man. In such stories, a hero tend to be capricious and sometimes finally forms harems which I hate so much (I don't mean to slander culture and countries which allow men to commit bigamy, but as I have grown up in Japan going together with several girls at one time is insincere for me ). If the ending is not harem one, the girls who lose the battle are liable to disappoint so much and moreover they are treated roughly after they lose the battle in many stories. (I basically like happy end) In this prospect, I can easily predict that Usa and Ritu will be good lovers from the beginning in this series and though there are some description that some other girl fancy him temporarily, they find another great partner and become happy. In addition to such ending, the ratio of men to women is relatively near 1. I also love to read stories with enough men and women, not with so many women and a little men.
2. All the characters are fascinating and they grow greatly in the story
Though this story is mainly about Usa and Ritu, there are so many episode about other characters. As far as I remember, there are no malicious people and all the characters are essentially agreeable, kind and friendly. Not only Usa and Ritu, but also other characters have some problems or worries and through the episodes they overcome them and become more appealing. So I can sympathize with their feelings and feel like cheering up their behavior.
3. Stories are simply amusing
Though so many dirty topics are treated, both daily episodes and episodes about particular events are filled with humor, joke, hilarious conversation. Such humor doesn't interrupt the story line, rather the humor itself is naturally incorporated into series of stories and makes them deeper one.
4. Not soon finish after Ritu and Usa becomes couple
This is so important point for me! There are so many great love comedy in Japanese comic books and light novels, but there are little works which describes how they do after the main characters became couple using enough episode, not depicting it as a digest in the final episode! Thanks to or due to CLANNAD, which is one of the most famous visual novel in Japan and one of the thing which have made what I am today, I think 'becoming lovers is 'just a transit point and how they go along after it is as important as, or rather more important than the process they become lovers (I want to write about CLANNAD and other visual novel works someday. Sorry I don't have much time this time). Especially rarely as a comic, in Kawaisou, 'After Confession' Episodes about not only the couple but also other characters are described in detail using TWO books (this series have eleven books, so 2/11 of the episodes are for 'after' story!!) !! How great it is!!
Conclusion
There are so many other things I want to tell you about how great and important Kawaisou is, but I'm so afraid I do not have much time to finish writing about them.
